Love Lock is a couples timer app designed to help you and your partner put your phones down and be present with each other. We take your privacy seriously and have built the app to collect as little data as possible.

What We Collect

Love Lock collects only the minimum data required for the app to function:

• Session codes — a randomly generated 6-character code created when you start a two-phone session. This is stored temporarily on our servers and is automatically deleted after your session ends or becomes inactive.
• Session state — anonymous information such as whether each partner is ready and whether an emergency pass has been used. This is tied only to the session code, not to you personally.

We do not collect your name, email address, phone number, location, or any other personal information. No account is required to use Love Lock.

Custom Content

Any custom questions, date ideas, or challenges you create are stored only on your device using local storage. This content never leaves your phone and is never sent to our servers.

How We Use Data

Session data is used solely to keep two phones in sync during an active session. We do not analyse, profile, or monetise any data.

Data Retention

Session records are automatically purged from our servers when a session has been inactive for a set period. We retain no data beyond what is needed to run the current session.

Third Parties

We do not share any data with third parties. We do not use advertising networks, analytics services, or data brokers.

Children's Privacy

Love Lock is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect any information from children under the age of 13. If you believe a child has provided information through the app, please contact us and we will delete it immediately.

Security

Session data is transmitted over HTTPS. Because we collect no personal information, a breach would expose only anonymous session state (codes, ready flags, and timers) that cannot be linked to any individual.

Changes to This Policy

If we make material changes to this policy we will update the date at the top of this page. Continued use of the app after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
